Gives general requirements for flat rolled carbon steel products, available in the hot or cold rolled conditions and in coil or cut length form, rolled as wide strip in widths less than 600 mm. Covers plate, sheet and strip in thicknesses up to 16 mm and the material grades, chemical compositions and types of steel. Covers steelmaking process, condition of material on delivery, tensile properties, strain age embrittlement, stabilization, formability, hardness and decarburization test.
