CONTAINED IN VOL. 15.07, 2006Defines performance requirements, test procedures, and marking requirements to promote safe use of a hand-held infant carrier by an occupant and caregiver. The purpose of this consumer safety performance standard is to minimize the risk of incidents to an occupant resulting from normal use and reasonably foreseeable misuse or abuse of a hand-held infant carrier. No hand-held infant carrier manufactured after the approval date of this standard shall, either by label or other means, indicate compliance with this standard, unless it conforms to all requirements of this standard.
