Describes three test methods (using the same apparatus) for evaluating the oxidation stability of mineral insulating oils and of hydrocarbon-based insulating liquids. Coverage includes the following items common to the three methods; the cleaning of the glassware; the equipment and reagents; the determinations on the oxidized insulating liquid; the preparation of the catalyst and of the insulating liquid sample to be tested.
