Provides the technical requirements and test methods for close contact adhesives based on synthetic resins of the phenolic and aminoplastics types, with or without additional hardeners, used in the manufacture of wooden assemblies where adhesive bond lines not exceeding 0.15 mm can be obtained with certainty. Deals with warm and hot setting adhesives, but does not apply to adhesives based on resins of other types. Includes selection of test slips, methods of preparing close contact joint test pieces, curing and conditioning joints, determination of failing force and resistance to cold and hot water, determination of resistance to micro organisms and moisture content, and tabular summary of requirements.
