This standard is to be applied in conjunction with DIN 5034 Part 1, DIN 5035 Parts 1 to 4 and Part 6, as well as with DIN 66 234 Parts 6 and 7. It details the special requirements to be met by rooms in which VDU work stations and VDU assisted workplaces are installed (both referred to below by the term 'VDU workplaces'), and sets out the design principles and photometric characteristics to be taken into account when designing rooms, arranging workplaces, and installing equipment for such applications.
