This Malaysian Standard specifies materials, construction, performance and testing requirements of low and high pressure regulators and automatic changeover devices with screwed and clip-on connectors for use with butane and propane in the vapour phase up to a maximum vapour pressure of 2 MPa where storage and operational temperatures are between -20 °C and +50 °C. Diagrammatic sectional illustration of typical low and variable high pressure regulators and an automatic changeover device are shown in Figures 2, 3 and 4 respectively. A typical clip-on regulator is shown in Figure 5. NOTE. It is Malaysian practice for domestic appliances for use with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to have inlet pressures of 2.8 kPa ± 0.5 kPa. This does not preclude designs for higher operating pressures where necessary.
