Proposes guidance for the application of quality management and for performance improvement. The guidance describes those processes that quality management systems should encompass, and focuses on enhancing performance by improving an organization's processes. It can be used, over time, to evaluate the maturity of a quality management system. This draft is identical with the second Committee Draft issued by ISO/TC 176, the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee on Quality Management and Quality Assurance, and prepared by the Working Group (ISO/TC 176/SC 1/WG 1) under that committee. (Note: ISO/CD2 9004 also includes the reproductions of the requirements clauses of ISO/CD2 9001, which are identified by text boxes.) All comments must be submitted by e-mail, using the correct template for each draft, due to the volume of content anticipated.
