This standard is included in DIN Handbook 218. Applies to semi-finished products, e.g. blooms, slabs, billets, hot rolled wire, hot rolled, hot forged or bright steel bars (round, square, hexagonal, octagonal and flat steel bars), hot rolled wide flats, hot or cold rolled plate, sheet and strip, and hammer forgings and drop forgings made from the nitriding steels listed in Table 2.
