Describes safety requirements for operators and bystanders and testing of powered lawnmowers principally for domestic use, including both pedestrian controlled and ride-on types with rotary or cylinder type cutting mechanisms. Does not cover flail and sickle-bar types. Does not apply to electrically operated mowers (covered in BS 3456 : Pt 2 : Sec 2.32). Information on statutory provisions for lawnmowers is given in Appendix D.
