Defines the general conditions of acceptance related to safety for electrically welded round steel short link chain for lifting purposes. It also includes: a) medium tolerance chain for use in chain slings and for general lifting service and; b) fine tolerance chain for use with hoists and other similar lifting appliances.

Partially supersedes NEN 3359, NEN 2138 and NEN 3360. (06/2002) Dutch version of 1996 Edition issued on 01/12/1998 is still active. 1996 Edition Re-Issued in April 2008 & incorporates AMD 1 2008. (05/2008)
