Applies (in environmental conditions given in this standard) to electrical measurement and test equipment; electrical control equipment; electrical laboratory equipment. Does not cover reliable function, performance or other properties of the equipment; protection of servicing (repair) personnel; servicing (repair). Includes the following sections; marking and documentation; protection against electric shock; protection against mechanical hazards; resistance to heat; resistance to moisture and liquids. Also includes detailed definitions and annexes.
