3 test procedures are described: Grade A, inspection of the analysis of equipment design; Grade B, visual inspection, functional test or measurement on the equipment; and Grade C, functional test or measurement on the equipment. Test procedures specified by the manufacturer shall include instructions on how to reset and verify the equipment. Test procedures specified by the manufacturer shall include test conditions and shall either generate the described fault condition, or, if not practicable, simulate this signal as close to the source of the fault condition signal. The manufacturer shall show in the ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTS by design analysis or experiment that the test signal accurately simulates the fault condition.
