Proposes the adoption of ISO 1496-3:1995 as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. ISO 1496-3 specifies the basic requirements for the specification and testing of series 1 tank containers suitable for the carriage of gases and liquids, including solid substances, which may be loaded or unloaded as liquids either for gravity or pressure discharge, for international exchange and for conveyance by road, rail and sea, including interchange between these forms of transport. Requirements for series R tank containers for Australia only are included in an appendix.
