This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies those of the maximum measuring length of under given in Table 1, among the micrometer callipers for general use, which measure the external dimensions, internal dimensions and the dimensions of base tangent length and the like and displacement of gears, having the spindles of scale interval of 0.01 mm or 0.001 mm in minimum indication and of 0.5 mm or 1 mm in the pitch of screw thread.
