Defines requirements for determining the fitness for purpose of a piping system composed of pipes, joints, fittings and auxiliaries made from unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride)(PVC-U) for use for buried water mains and services and for water supplies above ground, inside and outside buildings. Intended for conveying cold pressurized water at temperatures not in excess of 20 deg C for general purposes and drinking. Applies also to water not in excess of 45 deg C. and to assembled pipes, fittings, valves and ancillary equipment conforming to respective requirements of ISO 4422 parts 1,2,3 and 4.
