Proposes requirements and recommendations for the design, construction and operation of installations in which flammable or combustible liquids are stored or handled, and further guidance for processing plants and batch processing operations. Separate sections propose requirements for minor storage, package storage and storage in tanks, and new tank designs are considered. Proposed requirements for fire protection have been updated to align with current fire protection technologies. Requirements for the storage of potable alcohols are proposed in a normative appendix.
