Outlines a classification system for the geometrical accuracy specification of wormgearing. Uniform measurement procedures are given, including single & double flank composite testing and tooth thickness. Gives ten accuracy grades, W3 thru W12, which are based on the relative effect of geometrical errors on conjugate action for wormgear sets. For the metric version, see AGMA 2111.
