Describes a system of tolerances for dimensions of castings applicable to cast metals and their alloys produced by sand moulding, gravity die casting, low pressure die casting, high pressure die casting and investment casting. Gives general tolerances on a drawing and individual and particular tolerances shown immediately following a specific dimension and where the casting producer provides the pattern equipment or accepts responsibility for proving it. Includes sections on references, basic dimensions, tolerances, mismatch, wall thickness, tolerances on tapered features, position of tolerance zone and indication of casting tolerances on drawings.
