Proposes the adoption of IEC 598-2-1:1979, which specifies requirements for fixed general purpose luminaires for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent and other discharge lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V. This Part is to be read in conjunction with Part 1. Proposed as an Australian/New Zealand Standard. A copy of IEC 598-2-1:1979 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia or Standards New Zealand office.
