Describes a method of acceptance inspection based on BS 6001 used in order to decide whether a lot of fasteners may be accepted or rejected when no other acceptance procedure has been agreed with the supplier at the time of ordering the fasteners, or when conformance to specification is disputed. Describes fully manufactured products only not any particular in-process control procedure or inspection during production unless otherwise specified.
