Describes the construction, requirements and particular test procedures for flat, flexible PVC insulated and sheathed cables to be used in passenger and goods lifts (elevators) as required by EN 81. Does not cover cables of composite construction (eg cables having cores of different sizes), but gives conditions for including telecommunication units into the cables.
