Describes performance and safety requirements of wideband cables distribution systems for downstream television and f.m. sound radio signals. Assuming that the significant impairments are those produced by a multi-channel coaxial cable system employing vestigial sideband transmission to carry television signals having PAL-I characteristics. Excludes radiation from complete systems due to the extreme variability of field conditions, but shows a method for monitoring and assessment.
