Provides requirements for two types of one-part gun grade chemically curing silicone-based sealant, for use in building joints and for use in glazing and sanitary ware applications. Primer systems are recommended for use with certain surfaces and test requirements take account of such systems. Includes determination of skin forming time, and test methods for adhesion and cohesion in tension. Illustrates a jig for extending or compressing sealant test assemblies.
