Describes the safety aspects in terms of design, construction, installation and inspection of refrigerating appliances, for use in institutional, public assembly, residential, commercial and industrial occupancies. Applies to new refrigerating systems, extensions and modifications of systems and for used systems on being re-installed and operated on another site. Applies in the case of the conversion of a system for use with another refrigerant. Does not apply to the use of air as a refrigerant, or to liquefied gas storage tanks. Includes refrigerant groups, categories of occupancy, types of cooling system, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and fittings, instrumentation and more.
