The standard, part of the EN 13757 series, specifies the application protocols for the communication systems for meters. It deals, in particular, with the M-Bus application protocol. The standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the specifications for the lower levels, determined by EN 13757-2, EN 13757-4, EN 13757-5, EN 13757-6 and EN 13757-7.
