Proposed as the replacement for The Australian Gas Association Standard AG 601-1998, Gas installation code. It is the result of a revision of the 1998 Standard. It provides requirements for piping and appliance installations that are associated with the use of fuel gases. The requirements, for metered installations, cover piping systems from the outlet of the billing meter to the inlet of the appliance. For non-metered LP Gas installations, the coverage is from the first regulator on site to the inlet of the appliance.
